about this team

Store Dev real estate team supports physical store growth and portfolio management through various real estate & leasing strategies. Reporting to the Dir. of Real Estate and in support of the market growth strategy, the Real Estate specialist will manage existing fleet renewals, lease actions for temp leases, minor capital investments and initiatives. The specialist will also support business needs and strategies through administrative support with presentations, reporting and lease packages. The successful candidate will be goal oriented to deliver on targets set while maintaining adherence to process and applicable time lines. As a specialist this role, will ensure understanding and compliance with Company and departmental policies/procedures and internal controls. This position will require some travel with approximately 20-30% of the time being spent in the market.

a day in the life

  • In collaboration with the Real Estate Mgr, the Specialist will support the area growth strategies and initiatives
  • Execute leases for renewals, minor capital projects and lease actions; working directly with landlords to negotiate terms and conditions of leases
  • Source, negotiate and execute temp leases as required by major capital projects.
  • Interface with attorneys to review, negotiate and finalize lease docs
  • Support capital projects by producing real estate presentations/ tour packages and lease document packages
  • Collaborate with lease administration on amendment reviews and other real estate activities whilst managing lease databases, reports and key lease dates
  • Execute initiatives and special real estate projects and reports as required
qualifications
  • 5+ yrs related real estate leasing experience
  • Strong problem solving skills and organizational skills
  • Articulate and concise communication skills- verbal and written
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Confidence in dealing with people (internal and external) and resolving issues diplomatically
  • Resourceful and high level of initiative
  • Proven work ethic with utmost integrity
  • Desire to excel and succeed
