Duties

Implement engaging curriculum tailored to individual student needs in reading and mathematics for grades K-12. Utilize advanced learning technology tools to enhance instruction and track student progress effectively. Conduct tutoring sessions with students across various age groups, including children and adolescents. Deliver individualized comprehensive lesson plans in a 3:1 student teacher ratios. Assess student understanding through formative and summative evaluations within the structure of the Sylvan programs. Foster a positive learning environment.

Experience

Proven experience working with students in tutoring settings, demonstrating strong communication and instructional skills. Familiarity with the Alberta curriculum, especially for reading and mathematics. Proficiency in using technology for lesson delivery. Experience managing tutoring sessions that involve up to three students at one time. Ability to adapt teaching strategies for students with diverse needs while maintaining a motivating and energetic approach. Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
