Our client is one of the leading food processing and distribution companies in BC. This is a Research & Development Manager (R&D Manager) position in the food processing facility in the Lower Mainland BC. The successful candidate must have expertise in development of new products, cost savings, leading innovative processes, supply chain management and marketing activities in a fast-paced food business.Job title: Research & Development Manager (R&D Manager): Initiates, investigates, and leads the implement new formulations, process improvements, and production efficiency projects Manages recipe developments, cost analysis and marketing plans Prepares product specifications & formulations, provides technical support for food processes Completes technical assessments for evaluation of new products / process opportunities Optimization in quality assurance, production efficiency and cost saving Develops and maintains supply chain, identifying critical paths and resources required Reformulates products to meet internal or external requirements Develops and keeps files updated for innovative and efficient products Assesses and decides new equipment as part of transitioning from R&D lab to mass manufacturing environment Cooperates with production, quality assurance and purchasing & logistics team to ensure new projects implemented successfully Other duties assigned by the Operation Vice-PresidentQualifications: Over three years experiences of Research & Development in a food processing facility Post-secondary diploma in Food Science or related Technology fields Experiences in HACCP and GFSI Knowledge of CFIA regulations Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English, both internally and externally Strong self-motivation with Can-Do attitudes Excellent performance under time pressure with calm and professional working style High skill in time management and detail focus Proficiency in ERP, Microsoft Office Strong analytical skills Strong ability in team-leading and team-working Knowledge of CI, Kaizen and Six-SigmaJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
