Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:

\xc2\xb7 Responsibility to manage and coordinate Rail Systems Interface Matrix

\xc2\xb7 Responsibility to maintain the Rail Systems Interface Register

\xc2\xb7 Experience with requirements writing guidelines.

\xc2\xb7 Responsibility in area of the Requirements Traceability Matrix using requirements tools i.e., Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements Systems New Generations (DOORS NG)

\xc2\xb7 Perform requirements analysis, writing, research, and development, communicate requirements for the project and support requirements engineering activities through all stages of the project.

\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with requirements management tools, data analysis, script writing etc.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in data processing and analysis using tools such as Excel, VBA, Python, or other applicable tools.

\xc2\xb7 Assisting senior staff on a variety of projects such as new transit rail project and subway works across Canada.

\xc2\xb7 Supporting efforts for site work on transit rail projects

\xc2\xb7 Coordinating with multiple disciplines, including rail systems, and working in conjunction with project managers to help complete assigned tasks.

\xc2\xb7 Writing technical reports for internal and external purposes based on findings.

\xc2\xb7 Create technical reports to present results of the technical analysis.

\xc2\xb7 Support creation, modification, and update of the rail system technical reports through all phases of the project

\xc2\xb7 Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences

\xc2\xb7 Conducts research and data gathering as required for Technical Advisory work.

\xc2\xb7 Serve as key personnel in the requirement management and requirements database work and maintenance for area of responsibility for the project.

\xc2\xb7 Participating on multiple projects throughout their lifecycles, from market engagement, solution preparation, project execution and delivery, to project closeout

\xc2\xb7 Understanding trends and best practices in the permanent way and rail engineering market

\xc2\xb7 Participating in local Professional Associations

Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Electronic, Information systems or similar)

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years of experience in area of the Rail Transit projects development.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated experience min 4 years in Rail & Transit Infrastructure requirements management.

\xc2\xb7 Sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals related to transportation.

\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with drafting software

\xc2\xb7 The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment.

\xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working

\xc2\xb7 Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels

\xc2\xb7 Must not require sponsorship, now or in the future to be considered for this role.

Preferred

\xc2\xb7 Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Electronic, Information systems or similar)

\xc2\xb7 EIT/ FE Certification

\xc2\xb7 Coursework in transportation design

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of applicable codes such as AREMA, Agency Design Standards, NEC/NFPA ISO-IEC-IEEE applicable standards for rail systems design and related specifications

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS or Perforce Helix

\xc2\xb7 Comprehension of the Systems Engineering \xe2\x80\x9cV\xe2\x80\x9d Life Cycle Process

\xc2\xb7 Fluency in 3D CAD software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD software to lay out right-of-way, rail alignments, drainage systems, roadway design, sidewalks and pedestrian accommodation, utility systems, and grading designs.

\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with civil engineering design and analysis tools for rail, roads, and/or water systems

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in data processing and analysis using tools such as Excel, VBA, Python, or other applicable tools.

\xc2\xb7 Evidence of past internship in the transportation sector
