About your next Challenge as a Lead System Engineer, Proposal and Engineering Processes :

The Lead Systems Engineer, Proposal and Engineering Processes (Lead SE) will lead procedure development and support service architecture relevant to engineering technical proposal and projects. Typically, these proposals and projects include Product Development and In-Service Support (ISS) system elements, and need to integrate both internal and external customer requirements. The candidate will be required to provide technical support to Engineering Technical Proposal Manager, Systems Engineering Functional Manager, and Chief System Engineers by developing and tailoring internal processes to efficiently address Customer requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to work within large multi-functional and multi-disciplinary teams are required. The successful candidate must be able to describe complex system solutions to audiences of varying technical backgrounds and establish support/enthusiasm for a proposed solution.

This role requires strong leadership and teamwork skills, relying on team members from other specific disciplines as required.

The candidate will also work collaboratively across the engineering organization to focus on the Requirements Management, and aspects of System Engineering process compliance including, but not limited to, process artifact review and approval. The Lead SE will partner closely with Business Development teams, Engineering Project teams and Engineering Discipline Team leads to ensure consistent strategy, direction, and alignment with the Segment Strategic Growth plan (SGP).

What You Will Do:

• Support back-end business development activities including requirements management and compliance development activities for proposal developments.
• Support preparation of technical briefings. Develop system requirements framework for Product Development and In-Service Support services to the internal Customer.
• Contribute to and participate in technical baseline reviews including formal technical reviews with Customer.
• Contribute to the assessment and reporting of technical project status, risks and issues. Oversee systems requirements, formal and internal design reviews and documentation, per standard development processes.
• Assist Chief systems Engineer in assuring designs meet system level requirements.
• Establish strategic working relationships with project engineers, CSEs, as well as functional teams and technical leads.
• Engage in project post-mortem reviews in order to assess future process improvements.

Required Skills and Experiences:

Bachelor\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, Computer Sciences) with 9 years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering or Graduate Degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Have a sense of urgency and a strong desire to deliver on time, on budget and with quality.
• Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs and develop marketable in-service support solutions which provide customer value.
• Ability to complete assignments on a self-directed basis with only high-level direction provided at the start of tasking.
• Proven and effective communications skills, interpersonal skills and customer focus are a must.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada \xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9cReliability\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9d status and/or Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
• For on-site positions, our location is accessible by public transport
