What role you will play in our team

Imperial is recruiting for an experienced rail operations professional within the Sarnia Manufacturing Complex.

What you will do

Typical responsibilities may include:

• Develop and maintain rail metrics and stewardship
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve existing processes
• Develop and implement new processes and systems
• Optimize rail related procedures and training
• Implement best practices in collaboration with Headquarters Rail Planning group and other locations across North America
• Act as rail projects contact and provide coordination support for the greater Sarnia area
• Optimize rail storage yards
• Provide cost stewardship and analysis support
• Lead track repair and inspection activities
• Provide Transport Canada and other regulatory compliance support
• Network and interact with other Rail Operations across Imperial and ExxonMobil

About you

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree preferred
• Previous rail field operations experience of 5 or more years

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

• Commitment to safety on and o\xef\xac\x80 the job
• A valid driver\'s license and a safe driving record
• Ability to understand and contribute to the development and effective and efficient tactical execution of the company\'s rail strategies
• Demonstrated sound business judgment, decision-making skills, planning, coordination and analytical skills
• Demonstrated teamwork, leadership skills and ability to create ownership and commitment to the organization\'s purpose
• Ability to work in a dynamic 24/7 environment and manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to promote strong working relationships with manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, service providers and the railroads
• Strong understanding of class 1 rail operations across Ontario and connecting U.S. states

Eligibility to work in Canada

All applicants who receive an offer of employment must be eligible to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions on their start date.
