Our

Major Projects team is growing here at rcs construction. We are on the lookout for a

Quality Control (QC) & Close Out Coordinator

to join our team based in our

Halifax

As an integral part of our Major Projects team, the QC & Close Out Coordinator will play a key role in

ensuring projects are properly commissioned, documentation is complete, and close-out procedures are followed to meet regulatory and client standards

.



How you'll spend your day:



Coordinating commissioning activities and collaborating with agents, trades, and site teams. Scheduling and documenting key system startup meetings and compliance testing. Managing life safety inspections, training sessions, and close-out documentation. Supporting QA/QC program development and ensuring permit and occupancy requirements are met. Participating in site walkthroughs, city inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.




What will help you thrive:



Postsecondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field Minimum 3 years relevant experience in construction, QA/QC, or commissioning with a general, mechanical, or electrical contractor Strong understanding of building systems, municipal inspections, permit processes, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and project tracking software (Procore experience is an asset) Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Clear and professional communication, both verbal and written High attention to detail, especially in documentation, testing, and compliance
