Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities



Supplier Management and Negotiation

Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality products at competitive prices. Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure the best possible deals. Develop and manage supplier performance metrics, such as delivery timelines, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.

Procurement and Order Management

Process purchase orders and requisitions for products, materials, or services following company policies. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams to maintain sufficient stock. Analyze and manage lead times for materials and adjust purchasing schedules accordingly to prevent delays.

Cost Analysis and Budget Management

Monitor costs and manage purchasing budgets to meet financial goals. Analyze historical purchasing data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities. Implement cost-reduction strategies and seek out more cost-effective sources where applicable.

Compliance and Documentation

Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations, including any industry-specific standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, including contracts, invoices, and inventory levels. Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost savings for management review.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support

Work closely with departments like production, finance, and logistics to align purchasing with operational needs. Assist in forecasting demand by collaborating with sales and production teams to ensure sufficient inventory. Communicate with suppliers regarding any quality or performance issues and seek quick resolutions. Evaluate alternative products and suppliers to maintain quality standards while reducing costs.

Logistics

Assisting with order fulfillment by preparing and packing items for shipment based on customer orders. Creating and affixing shipping labels with correct addresses and barcodes. Completing necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs paperwork for international shipments.

Qualifications



Experience:

2-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software, such as ProShop, or other ERP systems. Analytical skills for cost analysis, budgeting, and inventory management. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of supply chain logistics and inventory management practices.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$34.00 per hour
