We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and organizational skills. Ideal candidates would have a passion for excellence in client service delivery and strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. You will be required to work both independently and in a team setting, with an aptitude for working in a deadline-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail will be a strong advantage in this position. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for interacting with residents of all levels, as well as prospective residents, vendors, and contractors. Further responsibilities include showing available units, qualifying prospective residents, and successfully negotiating leases, as well as marketing & managing the rental portfolio of mixed-use residential and commercial buildings in Merritt BC. Experience in Property Management would be considered an asset. However, previous experience is not required! Successful applicants will have the opportunity to be a part of our highly experienced team of professionals, where you will learn and hone your skills as a property manager. Responsibilities:

  • Planning the relocation of tenants, including coordinating with movers
  • Conducting site tours
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective residents
  • Conducting background checks
  • Preparing, explaining, and processing rental agreements
  • Conducting yearly service audits on rental properties
  • Advertising new available rentals
  • Managing lease agreements and tenant relations.
  • Ensuring rental properties are maintained in good condition.
  • Collecting rental payments and performing accounting tasks
  • Working with vendors and contractors to coordinate repairs and maintenance.
  • Developing and implementing marketing in social media to attract new tenants.
  • Budgeting and financial planning
  • Complying with all laws and regulations (Residential Services Act of BC)
  • Resolving disputes and conflicts in a timely manner and attending court appearances as necessary.
  • Contract with tenants by negotiating leases
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have completed and passed the Rental Property Management Licensing Course. **If you are in the process of or are willing to complete the course please feel free to apply. We will consider waiting for course completion for the right person.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work both evenings and weekends on call.
  • Experience with computer programs.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year Benefits:
