About the Role

We are a small and growing property ownership company based in

Peterborough, Ontario

, looking for a reliable, hands-on

Property Maintenance Technician

to manage the ongoing upkeep of our residential properties.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, takes pride in maintaining properties properly, and is comfortable working independently. The role includes

on-call weekend coverage

, seasonal work, and general maintenance across multiple properties.

Key Responsibilities

Snow clearing during winter months (including evenings and weekends as required) Lawn care, groundskeeping, and outdoor maintenance during summer General property maintenance and repairs, including: Painting and drywall repairs Flooring repairs and installation Minor carpentry and trim work Basic plumbing tasks (fixtures, leaks, clogs, toilet and faucet repairs) Basic electrical tasks (light fixtures, switches, outlets -- no licensed work required) Move-in and move-out unit preparation and repairs Responding to maintenance requests and occasional urgent issues Operating small machinery and equipment such as: Tractors Stand-up blowers Power tools Driving with and towing a trailer as required Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean and safe

On-Call Requirements

On-call availability on weekends (as scheduled) Occasional emergency response for property-related issues

Requirements

Strong general maintenance skills (jack-of-all-trades) Physically capable of lifting, pulling, and performing manual labour Comfortable operating small machinery and power equipment Valid driver's license and clean driving record Experience towing or willingness to learn Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
