Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Property Administrator
to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting both
Accounts Receivable (AR)
and
Accounts Payable (AP)
functions while ensuring smooth day-to-day property management operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
Yardi software
and a strong background in property administration and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Prepare, issue, and track tenant ledgers, rent rolls, and related charges through Yardi.
Process rent collections, deposits, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconcile tenant ledgers and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
Generate AR reports and assist management with financial reporting needs.
Accounts Payable (AP)
Review, code, and process vendor invoices in Yardi.
Ensure timely payments to vendors and contractors while adhering to company policies.
Reconcile monthly statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
Assist with expense tracking, reporting, and budget monitoring.
Property Administration
Maintain accurate and organized property files, contracts, and documentation.
Assist in coordinating maintenance requests, vendor communications, and service contracts.
Review
Support property managers with lease administration, renewals, and compliance tracking.
Regularly analyze building utilities reports to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and confirm all tenants are enrolled with the necessary service providers to avoid any service interruptions.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in
property administration
or a related role.
Strong working knowledge of
Yardi software
(Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable modules required).
Understanding of accounting principles, with proven AR/AP experience.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Attributes
Experience working in residential or commercial property management.
Strong customer service mindset when dealing with tenants and vendors.
Team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
