Job brief: We are looking for an experienced\xe2\x80\xafProject Manager\xe2\x80\xaffor HTEC\xe2\x80\x99s Transportation Solutions business unit. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and leading the successful delivery of hydrogen transportation projects primarily in the heavy-duty vehicle segment e.g., fuel cell electric truck deployments. With key responsibilities related to organizing and overseeing project development, delivery including planning, design, deployment and operations. The Project Manager will ensure all projects are completed in line with stated objectives. The successful candidates will be well-versed in all aspects of project management and will ideally be familiar with project design and project management methodologies and procedures. They are able to coordinate and oversee a team of professionals of different disciplines both internal and external to the organization to achieve the targeted results. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully managing multiple projects at the same time. Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project proposals for government funding organizations at the municipal, provincial (state), and federal levels including project narratives, work plan, budgets and schedule
  • Use disciplined project management methodologies to define scope, develop project plans, and govern cross-functional projects that deliver the project within cost and schedule requirements
  • Problem solving skills to identify, diagnose and overcome project challenges related to both internal and external deliverables
  • Manage the deliverables, budgets, resource allocation plans, risk registers, and other support requirements for the project/program
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder engagement and satisfaction
  • Lead cross-functional teams comprised of HTEC staff, consultant teams, and other external project stakeholders
  • Support the identification, negotiation and contracting with external vendors including vehicle OEM\xe2\x80\x99s, system integrators, vehicle maintenance partners and other consultants, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
  • Ensure projects are compliant with HTEC project delivery processes (stage gate) and reporting requirements
  • Prepare detailed progress reports for HTEC management team, funding providers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage funding agreements and project cashflow to ensure milestone and cash requirements are being met.
  • Clearly document and ensure adherence to strict health and safety standards
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal frameworks and processes in support of the program
  • Provide project management mentorship to HTEC team members
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a project manager in a technology, engineering, and/or construction environment with a history of successful project delivery
  • Familiarity with engineering design processes, construction procedures, contract negotiation, procurement, and project management principles
  • Demonstrated ability and specific experience operating within an environment with strict health and safety standards.
  • Experience managing projects through the full life cycle
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
  • Ability to travel
