OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced

Project Manager

with a strong background in

Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, or Personal Banking

to oversee complex projects and portfolios within a fast-paced financial environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery -- from planning and execution to governance and reporting -- while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, budgets, and timelines.

Location:

Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office)

Contract Length:

6+ Months (Extension or FTE Conversion Possible)

Hours:

9 AM-5 PM EST

Intermediate to Senior (7+ years)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage

large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects

across one or more banking lines of business (Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, or Personal Banking). Oversee full project lifecycle activities including

initiation, planning, execution, risk management, and closure

. Develop and manage

project charters, plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables

. Coordinate across technical, operational, and business teams to ensure successful delivery of outcomes. Provide

status reporting, financial tracking, and governance documentation

in alignment with enterprise PMO standards. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies; proactively drive resolution of issues. Partner with

senior stakeholders, sponsors, and cross-functional leads

to ensure strategic alignment and communication throughout project execution. Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Manage project resources effectively and maintain accurate Clarity (PPM) or equivalent system data.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

7+ years of progressive project management experience

within the financial services industry. Proven track record managing

large and complex projects or programs

. Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:

Capital Markets:

Derivatives, trading systems, operations, or regulatory initiatives.
+

Commercial Banking:

Lending, credit systems, or business banking process modernization.
+

Personal Banking:

Retail products, payments, or digital banking initiatives.
Strong understanding of

project governance, control testing, financial tracking

, and

enterprise delivery frameworks

. Proficiency in

MS Project, Clarity PPM, JIRA, Power BI

, or similar tools. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive decisions across multiple levels. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Preferred

Experience working within large financial institutions or regulated environments. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or related certification(s). Previous Tier 1 banking experience.

Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related discipline (Project Management certification an asset). #
