Our Burlington-based client is well established in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) industry. Due to growth, they are hiring a full-time Project Coordinator to assist project managers with engineering and administrative tasks related to design, construction and installation projects for high-profile organizations across Southern Ontario. This is an IN-OFFICE position, based in Burlington.

This exciting role will best suit a career-minded college/university graduate that has 3 or more years experience with coordinating projects in the construction sector. This awesome company encourages growth - there is opportunity to advance to a Project Manager over time.

Duties:
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to plan and execute projects
  • Assist with preparing shop drawings
  • Monitor project progress and prepare progress reports
  • Assist with preparing requisitions for materials
  • Assist with scheduling
  • Track project performance
  • Create and maintain project documentation
Job Requirements
  • At least 3 years experience in the construction industry
  • College or university diploma/degree in electrical engineering, construction engineering technology, or construction project management (or similar program)
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications plus an ability to read basic blueprints
  • AutoCAD, Visio and construction software experience considered to be an asset
  • "G" drivers\' licence and clean abstract (to drive company car to job sites when required)
  • Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Positive mind-set, customer focused and a passion for continuous learning
  • Lives within a reasonable commuting distance to Burlington (i.e. Hamilton, Oakville, Milton, Waterdown)
  • Understanding of ICT preferred
