Location: St. John\'s In this role you will be responsible for performing support duties such as on-boarding orientation, set-up and coordination of training for employees, students and contractors; oversee floor space requirements; prepare purchase requisitions and change orders to support procurement activities; monitor the payment of vendor invoices through JDE - Accounts Payable; assist with monthly accruals and capital project close out activities, etc. Also responsible for performing administrative support duties including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, records management, etc. Initiates, plans and coordinates divisional meetings in house and offsite. Responsible for database management and performing other technical tasks to ensure that all project support functions are run in an effective and efficient fashion. Requirements: You have graduated from a recognized office administration program, undergraduate degree or equivalent and have a minimum of two years experience in an engineering environment. Experience in office management would be an asset. You must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Project, Lotus Notes databases, email and calendaring tools, Trim, integrating text, graphics, and tables between software packages. Must have working knowledge of JDE; specifically financial modules and work order tracking. You must be organized, with attention to detail, and have the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities. You have good oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships. You can work independently, showing initiative to continually improve your skills and knowledge, but you are also a strong team player.
