The Hinton Friendship Centre Society-West Yellowhead Domestic Violence Treatment Program is seeking a full-time program therapist for our Domestic Violence Treatment Program "Positive Changes" to serve the communitites of Hinton, Edson, Jasper, and Grande Cache.This program offers risk assessments, individual, and group therapy to address intimate partner violence. The porgarm delivers a 16-week psycho-ed group for both female and male perpetrators. The successful candidate would be leading the 16-week group therapy process, conducting risk assessments, providing individual therapy to supplement client treatment and collaborating with referring agencies. Training and supevsion would be provided for this postions to ensure the candidate was fullly supported in this work. We require the successful applicant to live in the region and be capable of in-person service provision.QualificationsEducationPreferred- Registered psychologist or Master of Soial WorkConsidered- Bachelor of Psychology or Social Work + ExperienceSkillsKnowledge and experience regarding intimate partner violenceKnowledge and experience with cultural safetyDemonstrated ability to wrok as part of a clinical teamCollaborate with community stake holders and represent the progarm at inter-agency meetingsEvidence of deision-making, critical thinking, problem-solving and organizational skillsExperience in group dynamics and group facilitation skillsRegistered with a professional body and qualified for professional liability insurance.Experience in conducting risk assessmentsAble to input case notes, reports and any documents as required into the program database.Compassionate and kindA valid Class 5 drivers license is required along with an acceptable drivers abstract for insurance purposesThis postition will remain open until a suitable candidate is chose.Only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $40.00-$44.00 per hourBenefits:
