In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.

Job/Position Summary:
The Program Manager will support Dr. Eugenia Oviedo-Joekes\xe2\x80\x99 program of research studies situated under the
Program of Outcomes Research on Treatment with Injectables for Addiction (PORTIA) and the Person-Centered Care in Addiction and Public Health research program, an exciting and growing body of work that seeks to develop evidence-based approaches to shift drug policy in Canada.
Organizational Status:
The primary focus of the Program Manager (PM) will be to coordinate and support the expansive scope of research projects under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI). The PM will work directly and collaboratively with the PI to oversee the entire research program and manage a team of research assistants and a research coordinator. The PM will also be responsible for developing and maintaining provincial and national relationships with key stakeholders within the community of Injectable Opioid Agonist Treatment (iOAT).
Housed within the Faculty of Medicine, the School of Population and Public Health (SPPH) is an innovative unit that encompasses many of the health-related groupings at UBC as a collaborative venture. The School is structured around four divisions: Occupational and Environmental Health; Health Services and Policy; Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Public Health Practice; and Health in Populations. The resulting mix of professions and disciplines is seen as a means of connecting individuals and learners to galvanize the relationship between health research, public health and health services and to enhance learning.
