BASIC FUNCTION In accordance with written or oral instructions, performs, dismantling, clean up, sanitation and re-assembling of Manufacturing and Packaging equipment lines, and assists with some manufacturing and material handling. DETAILED DUTIES
Sets up Manufacturing and Packaging equipment as required. Prepares manufacturing intermediates following detailed formula card instructions.
Uses hand or fork truck to move bulks to packaging, materials for manufacturing to work area and machines and equipment to job sites.
Dismantles and washes equipment used in Manufacturing such as homogenizers, mills and pumps and signs for cleaning.
Prepares sanitizing solutions by weight and volume for tanks, pumps, pipelines, homogenizers, and production lines by observance of packaging and manufacturing instructions and sanitation procedure manual. Extreme caution to be exercised in preparing for manufacturing of the products to avoid bacterial contamination. Assumes responsibility and signs for the various steps in sanitation.
Responsible for the storage of all clean hoses, stainless steel piping, fittings and portable packaging and manufacturing equipment not in use. Assuring that it is returned to clean designated area or cupboard and the keeping of this area or cupboard clean and tidy at all times.
Must enter all sizes of tanks for cleaning and sanitizing, and using the tools and equipment necessary in the performance of his/her job.
Responsible for connecting approved bulks to pipelines for delivery to packaging. For supplying approved bulks to Packaging and signing packaging order, clean up and stirring orders.
Responsible for accurately recording work completed and ensuring all pertinent documentation is maintained.
Keeps utensils, work area and wash pits in a clean and orderly manner.
To be trained as back up Processor
Taking samples for QS- Micro swabs, rinse sample.
Cleans spills, etc. (on line) while line is operating.
Be able to use and understand the metric system To obtain and maintain QA checking status.
