Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY In accordance with written and/or oral instructions, incumbent will dismantle, clean, sanitize and re-assemble packaging equipment lines and manufacturing equipment. SPECIFIC DUTIES \xc2\xb7 Use hand or fork truck to move bulks, machines & equipment materials to packaging and manufacturing departments. \xc2\xb7 Dismantle and wash equipment used in Manufacturing or Packaging such as filler equipment, cartonners and cappers, homogenizers, mills, pumps, and signs for cleaning. \xc2\xb7 Prepare sanitizing solutions by weight and volume for tanks, pumps, pipelines, homogenizers, and production lines by observance of packaging and manufacturing instructions and sanitation procedure manual. Extreme caution to be exercised in preparing for manufacturing of the products to avoid bacterial contamination. Assumes responsibility and signs for the various steps in sanitization. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for the storage of all clean hoses, stainless steel piping, fittings, portable packaging, and manufacturing equipment not in use. Ensuring that it is returned to clean designated area. \xc2\xb7 Keep designated area clean and tidy. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to enter all sized tanks for cleaning and sanitizing while using the tools and equipment provided. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for keeping supplies on hand of some cleaning utensils and agents i.e., wipers, gloves, cheesecloth, twine, and vitafilm, etc. Responsible for notifying manager when these items are needed. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for following good documentation practices (GDP), accurately recording work completed and ensuring all pertinent documentation is maintained. \xc2\xb7 Keeps utensils, work area and wash pits in a clean and orderly manner.
