Role: Production Flex Operator

Location: 560 Victoria Street North, Kitchener

Details: Full time permanent position with a gradual wage increase

Wage: $21.00/Hour + hourly night shift premium

Shift Schedule: Nights: (Sunday - Thursday, 9:30pm-5:45am)

*Availability required (flexibility with working overtime, and on weekends, as necessary)

Our Production Operators are an integral part of the Baking/Production/Packaging process, ensuring our delicious baked goods are baked/packaged, and safely end up on grocery store shelves and at your favorite restaurants across North America. In a typical day, you'll:
  • Pick, pack, wrap, sort, and package fresh products into bags and boxes.
  • Work in production/packaging area to make and stack boxes onto pallets and wrap them safely.
  • Inspect filled packages to ensure product is packaged according to specifications.
  • Work in production/packaging area to Wrap and stack bread trays onto pallets and Operate Production Machine as required.
  • Be responsible for equipment set-up and change overs and running production lines as needed for various food products.
  • Assist Machine operators/Mixers/oven captains and crew with other duties as assigned.
  • Work as flex operator to monitor the Production of different production lines.
  • Cover multiple positions depending on vacation and absenteeism need.
  • May assist sanitation crew in the cleanliness of production equipment and area
  • Ensure all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed
Skills & Requirements

About You:
  • A lover of bread and baked goods!
  • You must be comfortable to loft 50 pounds repetitively.
  • You have strong people skills--you're approachable, a good listener, and empathetic
  • You have previously worked in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!)
  • You're dedicated to the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues
  • You digest constructive feedback as an opportunity to listen, and improve your skills, abilities, and performance
  • You are someone who listens to comprehend a situation first, asking questions to clarify your own understanding, instead of listening to be able to reply quickly
