Production Line Lead

Job Details

Kruger Products AFH manufactures and distributes high quality, cost-effective product solutions to a wide range of commercial and public entities. Through warehouse clubs, food-service and wholesale distributors and janitorial-supply companies, AFH supplies quality paper-based solutions to the accommodation, food service, property management and healthcare sectors.

We are currently recruiting for a Production Lead on a three (3) months contract.

What you will do:

  • Have the aptitude to learn the operation of all components of the converting lines and make running adjustments as required.
  • In conjunction with shift supervisor, makes operational decisions based on established quality specifications and downtime procedures
  • Operational contributor to product change-over and setup process
  • Accurately maintain production and quality records
  • Provide feedback and maintenance requests to improve machine efficiency.
  • Act as a resource in new hire training, up training and cross training initiatives under the direction of the Converting Line Supervisors
  • Provide secondary floor support to the Shift Supervisors when required
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to established organizational principles
  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations
  • Use all required safety equipment, e.g. Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, hearing protection, etc.
  • Participate in training and cross training improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement
  • Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly punctual and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Able to work as a functioning member of a team and provide training where required
  • Flexibility to change shifts as required
  • This is an hourly paid position that works a 12hr
rotating shift schedule
The facility operates on a 24-hour, 7 day per week, 365 day per year basis
