Job Description

At Styrok Inc., we design, manufacture and install a lightweight exterior cladding product used to finish building facades. Our factory is located in North York, Ontario (Highway 400 & 401). We are currently hiring a full-time production lead hand to assist with all aspects of our day-to-day production and factory operations.

Required Skills:



A "jack of all trades". Comfortable performing a variety of tasks on a daily basis Experience with power tools Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude Strong problem-solving skills. An ability to identify and find solutions to mechanical and production related issues. A detail-oriented personality. A proactive personality. A person who enjoys taking initiative in identifying what needs to be done with little or no direction and in taking action to complete such tasks. Strong interpersonal skills. An ability to coach, direct and supervise others in a manner that fosters a positive, productive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Desire and initiative to excel within the organization Must speak English

Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):



Assisting with and leading the day-to-day manufacturing activities carried out by production workers and ensuring production goals are met on time (activities include: order processing, production, custom fabrication, factory/equipment maintenance, shipping) Assisting with inventory management Ensuring that all equipment, materials and supplies are readily and continuously available to carry out production processes (i.e. informing management when raw materials/supplies are required; scheduling routine inspection/maintenance of equipment to prevent malfunctioning) Leading by example to reduce wastage and to improve factory performance, production efficiency, product quality, and safety; fostering a positive, productive, team-oriented work environment Proactively identifying/addressing/reporting operational or maintenance problems encountered in the normal course of business to prevent production issues/delays Performing other duties and administrative tasks as required

Experience Requirements



At least 2 year of experience working in a manufacturing plant At least 2 years of experience welding Some experience working in a "lean manufacturing" environment would be an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
