We are looking for a full-time Production Lead Hand for the afternoon shift (4:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.) to join our busy team!
Responsibilities:
Assist in coaching and training of staff by directing daily activities of the production team
Be efficient on RF scanners, inventory management programs and production equipment
Address employee performance issues and elevate when necessary
Ensure physical inventory is accurate, performing random audits on inventory
Maintain a clean, organized workplace by implementing daily housekeeping habits
Identification of problems or concerns relating to production equipment
Ensure that staff tasks are being completed in an accurate and timely manner
Help staff understand their roles in targets and assist manager in helping staff take ownership of both quality and quantity targets
Identify and resolve issues in production, elevate if necessary and ensure that all issues are communicated to the manager
Ensure all documentation and checks are being completed throughout your shift
Ensure all SOP's are being followed
Ensure health & safety policies are adhered to and maintain a safe working environment
Complete shift production reports and audits and forward them to the manager
Other related duties as required or assigned
Required Knowledge:
Minimum 2 -3 years' experience required in a leadership role in a manufacturing/production environment
Demonstrate good organizational skills
Ability to understand, run and troubleshoot the equipment
Knowledge of SDS, chemical handling procedures, work instructions and quality assurance
Know how to work safely
Strong leadership skills
Able to follow instruction from manager
Able to work in a team environment that is constantly working towards improving processes and procedures
TDG training is an asset
Able to identify hazards and work towards rectifying them
Minimum 1 year counterbalance forklift experience required
Working Conditions:
Able to lift at least 50lbs
Manual dexterity required to work on or under tankers
Overtime as required
Must be able to work both inside the warehouse and/or outside year round
