Role Details:

Assist the Shop Foreman and the Production Manager in the efficient operation of the shop.
Advise manufacturing employees on proper technique, manufacturing processes and product quality.
Provide training to employees as needed or assigned.
Motivate team members to achieve organizational objectives.
Oversee, schedule and assist in welding areas.
Communicate with other team leaders to identify and solve production issues.
Perform quality control to ensure the finished product is up to the quality standards of the organization
Ensure material availability and flow
Be adaptable to working and assisting in other production areas as required.
Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday as production needs require (4/10 Shift)
Required Skills:
Strong Leadership Skills
Proficient in welding and fabrication roles
Minimum 2 years in a leadership role
Safety Oriented
Familiar with working in an ERP environment such as Epicor
Must be extremely organized
Must be able to multi task
Must be capable of reading and interpreting product and assembly drawings
Exceptional problem solver
Strong work ethic
Must be mechanically inclined
Must be able to learn and understand the various product lines and sub-assemblies in the production environment
Forklift and crane certification (or the ability to be certified)
Must possess: good verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate excellent attendance and the ability to work as a member of team.
Knowledge of farm equipment is an asset.
