We\xe2\x80\x99re on the hunt for a Production Helper on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:

Basic Function: Performs various simple tasks and activities related to production or traceability. May also have to perform tasks of the general help position.

Level of Responsibility: Well established work processes and tasks. Some analysis is required before independently selecting among known processes.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Receive the goods, help with basic incoming inspection (open boxes, count steps\xe2\x80\xa6) and update database.
• Help with production operations (ex. sanding, prepare components, organize production cell).
• Build adequate packaging material for ground and flight components and provide support during packaging of products.
• Cut panels, from the honeycomb.
• Help cut and install thermal blankets.
• Manufacture bags and help with packaging of parts.

Install grounding blankets, brackets or helicoils. * Prepare and clean parts (including plating and tinning).

• Prepare polymeric chemicals.
• Validate torques after assembly step.
• Assemble (wind up) basic cables around bodies to produce the helical coils.

Use the appropriate equipment for equipment transportation (trolley, crane, engineering, aerial platform etc.). * Help employees involved in Research and Development.

• All other related tasks.

Minimum required Qualifications:

• College diploma, high school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience
• Basic knowledge of English, an asset.
• Plan reading.
• Basic knowledge of the principle of tolerances and geometrical dimensions.
• Ability to recover and enter computer data with a menu.
• Use of production databases.
• Good knowledge of French.
• Fine manual dexterity

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
