Production Forecast Development Intern
ShareAs a Production Forecast Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the forecasting team in accurately predicting future production levels within our organization. This position involves utilizing programming skills to analyze historical data, develop statistical models, and create forecasting algorithms. You will work closely with the Production Planner and other stakeholders to understand the intricacies of production processes and contribute to the development of innovative forecasting methodologies.Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis: Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL to analyze historical production data and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
Model Development: Assist in building and refining forecasting models.
Algorithm Implementation: Translate forecasting parameters into code for integration into out forecasting systems or platforms.
Performance Evaluation: Assist in evaluating the accuracy and reliability of forecasting models through back-testing and validation against actual production data.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross functional teams including project management, operations managers, and production planning to understand production processes and requirements for forecasting.
Documentation: Document code, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge transfer within the team.
Qualifications
Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar, with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and algorithm development.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Statistical Knowledge: Basic Understanding of statistical concepts and techniques used in forecasting such as time series analysis, regression analysis, and forecasting algorithms.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, share ideas, and contribute to the collective success of the forecasting team.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and business processes in a fast-paced environment.
