Please note this is a 6-month internship opportunity beginning in January 2024.

About the role:

In our Research & Development Engineering Department, our Engineers focus on the ideation, design, prototyping, and manufacturing transfer of cutting-edge devices for use in medical procedures. As a Software Development Intern, you will support the development of GUI and other software applications across our diverse products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support and lead product development, GUI development, and tool development activities
  • Improve, verify, and validate existing products
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and devices
  • Develop technical documents such as product specification sheets and operational manuals
  • Validate & test prototype designs to ensure they meet applicable regulatory expectations
  • Work closely with sales and marketing departments to establish product launch strategies
  • Work closely with quality departments to ensure product quality during production
  • Maintain Technical Files, DHF, DMR other necessary documentation
Required qualifications
  • Working towards or recently completed post-secondary degree in Software Engineering and/or Computer Science.
  • Working knowledge of the following:
  • C#, SQL, Python.
  • XAML and styling user controls for GUI.
  • Windows 10 IoT.
  • Windows Forms and WPF application development.
  • Visual Studio and SQL Management Server Studio.
  • Design patterns (i.e., MVC, MVVM, Singleton, Observer, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior software development experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of BlueTooth, CanBus, USB, I2C.
