The Position
Research & Development Intern Location: Mississauga Campus - Hybrid modality Length: Six months and part time Job description The Delivery Chapter R&D within Global Procurement supports with a lot of commitment and is passionate about the research and development and production areas in the procurement of materials and services. In order to be able to fulfill our mission for patients, we support Roche through business and supplier partnerships with innovative solutions to patients quickly and efficiently.

Your tasks:
  • Would you like to put your theoretical knowledge directly into practice? Then support our strategic purchasing by doing market research independently and establish new partnerships with suppliers.
  • Would you like to learn how new technologies improve purchasing processes? Then accompany the entire purchasing process during the preparation and follow-up of sourcing as well as negotiations up to the ordering of the materials as well as the supporting all subsequent processes.
  • Do you know how to inspire? Then take part in internal projects and work closely with the research and development departments.
  • Are you interested in promoting process improvements? Then stay alert and recommend suggestions as to how we can make our purchasing processes leaner, faster or simpler.
Who you are
  • You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate (bachelors) or graduate degree program (Master\'s). Preferably enrolled in majors as Supply Chain, Engineering or Business - alternatively Economics, IT, industrial engineering or related courses.
  • Must be available to work part-time during 6 months (minimum).
  • Ideally, you have initial practical experience in a pharmaceutical or pharmaceutical company within the healthcare industry.
  • You are open to agile working methods and are actively involved, e.g. in squads.
  • You also have a positive mindset and a "can-do" mentality.
  • You have good analytical skills, an independent and structured way of working, very good communication skills and see yourself as a team player.
