What you will do

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Product Development Team as we are actively recruiting for a Product Manager - Embedded Microcontrollers and Ancillary Products. The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring product function and readiness through the launch process and product lifecycle, including documentation. The Product Manager will also be responsible for the product business plan including product objectives; sales & marketing strategy; market & technology trends; competitor analysis; and KPI performance.

  • Support and manage internal and outsourced manufacturing, including specifications, sourcing, and testing
  • Product point person, including customer requirements, continuous improvement, and support marketing
  • Oversee product changes and cost-saving initiatives
  • Provide internal / external product and application training
  • Attend customer visits with Account managers to get feedback on product health and enhancement ideas
  • Aid the Product Launch Manager to ensure the successful transition of the product from development to manufacturing
What you need to succeed
  • Engineering degree/ diploma or equivalent industry experience
  • Automation experience including controls design and PLC programming
  • Experience with the development of electronics and embedded systems
  • C/C++ programming skills, with an emphasis on embedded devices
  • Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, WiFi, BLE
  • Understanding of PCB layout, including multi-layer PCB boards (Autodesk Eagle)
  • Understanding of hardware troubleshooting, including test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, ESD generators, etc.)
  • Experience with RTOS and Python desirable
  • Product management and product launch experience an asset
  • Experience sourcing components, supplier risk analysis, and negotiating supplier agreements
