Reporting to the Associate Vice President - Life & Health Product Management; the Senior Product Manager Creditor, Term and Accident & Sickness is accountable for driving an industry leading customer experience in what are rapid growth businesses. They actively partner for opportunities across the organization to continue this growth trajectory and are recognized experts in their space.
As a Senior Product Manager you will:

  • Be a product expert for Creditor, Terms and Accident & Sickness ("A&S") products, requiring broad managerial and deep specialized knowledge at the product, enterprise, regulatory and industry levels
  • Design and oversee products in such a way that they enhance the end-to-end customer experience while achieving the business objectives
  • Be accountable for delivering financial results for the product / suite via effective operation of all available levers: pricing, margin, volume, etc.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with sales distribution, key internal stakeholders and/or external partners to ensure that customer needs are considered in strategic decisions and in the development of options, solutions, and alternatives
  • Participate in the day-to-day management of the products, identifying and implementing product features and enhancements, providing business case support of recommendations, and assisting in the strategic development of new initiatives
  • Identify and manage risks (market, regulatory, operational etc.) associated with the product / segment
  • Establish a working environment that fosters diversity and inclusion and drives employee engagement
  • Attract, develop and motivate a high performing team

Job Requirements
  • Deliver financial results for the Creditor, Terms and A&S product suite via operation of all available levers: pricing, margin, volume etc.
  • Responsible for the strategic vision, implementation, and the management of product portfolio
  • Support Senior Management as a subject matter expert for the Creditor, Terms and A&S portfolio, including product reviews, planning, forecasting, and strategic review sessions
  • Support product deliverables, to ensure outcomes remain aligned with the Plan
  • Collaborate with key partners to drive cross-functional alignment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge and participate in knowledge transfer within the team
  • Contribute to team development, including cross-training

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree or product certificate and /or 10+ years relevant experience
  • Previous product management experience required; Life & Health product experience is an asset
  • Strategic planning / financial acumen is very important
  • Commercially minded with a deep understanding of how TD creates value
  • Skill in preparing and managing budgets and P&L Knowledge of and/or skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
  • Self-starter, with the ability to deal with ambiguity, problem-solve
  • Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\x93 able to clearly communicate with senior executives/leaders within the organization
