We are looking for a Product & Application Specialist - Separation & Food Systems that will be responsible for design, quotation, product support and coordinating customers' orders including order execution and project management for Food Separation and Food Systems. Products including high speed separators, decanters, food modules and systems as well as other related equipment and associated spare parts from quotation to delivery.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

  • Frequent communication with channels, customers, supply units and colleagues locally, regionally, and centrally.
  • Review request and preparation of quotations and selection of products according to customer specification. Including resizing and redesigning of existing install base.
  • Order and follow-up on supply units and distribution centers, following the customer order from order entry to delivery, invoicing, and warranty period.
  • Prepare order documentation as required for submittal to the customer.
  • Coordinate order handover to Order fulfillment team, close communication, and collaboration with Project Management.
  • Tracking and maintaining updated ongoing project list.
  • Involvement in claim handling will be required.
  • Assist in the implementation of Alfa Laval's online customer aid tools. Support channels and customers with such tools (e.g. Anytime, Product Guide, ALICE and others).
  • Assist in the coordination of claims and play an active role in our Quality Business System.
  • Maintain sales process records in our CRM tool and other systems in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.
  • Manage leads from the market and customers and convert them in real business opportunities to ensure the pipeline.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field

Type and Length of Experience:

Experience in an industrial B2B environment is an advantage

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate:
  • A working technical knowledge of separation products is an advantage.
  • Commercial or project management background is an advantage.
  • You are an effective problem solver, a self-starter, detail oriented, service minded and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • You must demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication, good personal organization and be proficient in the use of computers - preferably with experience of ERP systems.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

Must be able to work in an office environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (i.e., travel, motor vehicle use, etc.)

Occasional travel within Canada

Preferred to have a valid driver's license in home province (car/passenger vehicle only), and the ability to travel by airplane.
