To support that challenge, the Formulations & Application Technology team is currently seeking an Product Application Specialist who will conduct product development with a primary focus on seed treatment application technology to support the Seedcare Business.

This role is a laboratory based role at our Plattsville, ON research facility.

• Collaborate with formulation development, engineering, production and supply teams, and other stakeholders to perform application testing to ensure our products meet customer\xe2\x80\x99s requirements and can be successfully applied.
• Identify and evaluate new and emerging application and product handling technologies.
• Generate high-quality technical reports and evaluations in support of new product introduction and alert key stakeholders of findings.
• Prepare application related portions of product labels including directions for use.
• Generate innovative technical content to promote application best practices campaigns in technical marketing efforts.
• Work with product marketing and technical development colleagues to find opportunities to differentiate and position our products for sustained competitive advantage.
• Provide technical support to the commercial team to address product service inquiries.

Qualifications

• Applicants should hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in an appropriate science or engineering discipline such as Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Applied Biology, Chemistry, or other Agricultural discipline.
• Knowledge of biological and chemical/physical performance criteria for products and suitable application techniques to optimize their performance.
• A mechanical aptitude for equipment and operations.
• An understanding of modern seed treatment application systems is desirable.
• Experience in theory and practice of application and formulation evaluation in seed treatment in the laboratory and field.
