Upon arrival, you will support the supply team and report to the Vice President Supply Chain. Your main challenges will be to identify the right partners to support the accelerated growth of the organization. You will formalize, structure and document the process, to adapt to an organization that operates in a very complex business environment and to be an agent of change with colleagues and employees, with the aim of accomplishing profitability objectives.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the procurement, engineering and project team to meet deliverables according to project requirements
  • Ensure the optimization of business processes in the sector.
  • Negotiate medium and long-term contracts with suppliers that have a direct impact on operations and projects whose commercial terms protect the interests of the entire organization
  • Manage the supplier program in conjunction with its social responsibility policies
  • Organize performance reviews with certain suppliers
  • Responsible for claims management, namely in construction matters
  • Responsible for factory support in a "post-delivery" situation
  • Support the supply chain that is in place
  • Coordinate support activities for calls for tenders, negotiations and execution of contracts.
Qualifications
  • Degree. in Business Administration (preferable)
  • Training in purchasing and logistics
  • 7-10 years of procurement experience in a project environment, ideally petrochemical or mining
YOUR SKILLS
  • Basic understanding/knowledge of quality assurance and logistics
  • Have a keen sense of organizing priorities
  • Strong ability in negotiation, as well as in problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written
  • Ability and ability to work with the engineering team (working in a culture that thrives on process details)
  • Understanding of the "projects" environment in the context of the execution of complex contracts
  • Knowledge of procurement tools: ERP and Microsoft.
