About the Role

L3HARRIS WESCAM Service Operations team is looking for a new member to drive the development and delivery of process and technical solutions.The ideal candidate will be responsible for the leadership of projects to develop and/or implement new tools and processes to improve the management of customer repairs and material forecasting.This individual will play a hands on role working with cross functional teams to facilitate workshops, capture business requirements, create functional specifications and prepare gap analysis.

As part of this role, you will become a subject matter expert of ERP system and key tools. This role will allow you to continue to develop your Business Analytics, Project Management and technical skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead for new implementations and continuous improvement of existing business systems, processes and policies for service operations.
  • Lead workshops to gather requirements and convert into use case, training instructions and departmental practices
  • Provide support for project management and report weekly updates to the management team
  • Act as subject matter expert for all aspects of ERP sand related applications for the Service Operations team
  • Create project business cases \xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x93 by interfacing with the management team \xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x93 to analyze processes, determine project scope, define resource, budget, timelines and document the deliverables
  • Work with users, management and other business units to investigate issues and make recommendations and implement required changes, including training of users.
  • Recommend and maintain business system user procedures, system documentation, and standard work instructions to maintain Quality documentation.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Customer Service, Service Centers, Supply Chain, Materials, Quality, Planning and Finance teams
  • Develop functional software design documents. Work with developers in production of technical design documents. Ensures the technical design conforms to functional requirements.
  • Participate in System Integration testing and User Acceptance testing with the business users to ensure a high-quality delivery of software updates and process changes
  • Provide status reports to the executive sponsor or other stakeholders as required
  • Skilled troubleshooting experience to diagnose the root cause of an issue and make recommendations
Required Capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of Tier 1 ERP Applications preferably Infor LN and material forecasting systems
  • Strong knowledge of Customer Service and Supply Chain business processes
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Experience in gathering requirements for and understanding complex work flows across multiple departments
  • Strong analytical problem solving and investigative ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical business writing skills is an asset
  • Knowledgeable with SQL queries and report development is an asset (MS SQ, SSRS, PowerBI)
  • Project Management experience (PMP nice to have)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and Power Point
  • Ability to lead meetings with stakeholders of all levels
  • Ability to prioritize workloads
Desired Education and Experiences
  • Relevant College Diploma or University degree or equivalent work related experience
  • Project management designation not required but experience leading projects is an asset
  • Experience working with a Tier 1 ERP application
  • Business experience in Aerospace or Service environment with Product Data Management tools would be an asset
  • Customer Service experience and asset but not required
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Controlled Goods Program (CGP)
  • Knowledge of ISO9000/AS9100 standards a plus
  • Green Belt certification or experience with lean processes
