Overview




The Saskatchewan Research Council's (SRC) Research & Technology Division is seeking a qualified individual for the Principal, Strategic Growth Services role. This position is a lead in SRC's Business Development unit that will manage the growth strategy for the mining sector services, oversee the portfolio of promotional events and will be responsible for the active support to SRC business units.

Accountabilities



Strategic account management of key mining clients to ensure a quality and consistent SRC experience and to obtain key business intelligence from clients about upcoming trends and business opportunities Provide direct business development support to SRC by acting as a liaison, assisting with identifying business opportunities through lead generation and providing systems, tools and resources to internal leaders Manage the tradeshow portfolio and budget within SRC's Research & Technology Division, including collecting feedback, leads and materials from events Advise SRC's Business Units and Executive Team on tradeshow attendance and benefits Oversee SRC's Membership Portfolio Represent SRC at tradeshows, conferences and industry events

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a technical field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience Minimum 5 years of mining and related supplier industry experience is required Marketing and Customer Relations Management (CRM) experience preferred Previous experience with government organizations is considered an asset Valid Class 5 driver's license is required This position will require travel

Knowledge of processes and best practices for tradeshows, conferences and events Excellent organization and project management skills Ability to maintain a high attention to detail in a dynamic work environment Strong client relationship management and customer service skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively establish rapport with individuals at all levels of the organization Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage interruptions while adhering to deadlines

The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
