The Opportunity:
We are seeking a
Head of Strategic Growth & Innovation
--a bold, experienced, and relentless driver of new business, partnerships, and expansion. This role is for someone who thrives on making things happen, thinks beyond the obvious, and can convert strategy into results, fast.
You will lead all external-facing growth initiatives, build high-value relationships across the healthcare and senior care ecosystem, drive revenue through service contracts and private clients, and unlock new funding and visibility channels. Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Contract Development
Secure new client relationships, care contracts, and partnership agreements with hospitals, retirement communities, private clinics, insurance providers, and government bodies.
Build and maintain a strong lead pipeline with consistent follow-up and deal-closing execution.
Negotiate and finalize service agreements and partnership terms that align with company goals.
Healthcare & Industry Partnerships
Engage and develop trusted relationships with decision-makers: discharge planners, directors of care, social workers, healthcare administrators, and community influencers.
Represent Modern Angels at conferences, expos, stakeholder events, and regional industry meetings.
Proactively seek visibility opportunities across the healthcare ecosystem.
Funding & Innovation Development
Identify, assess, and apply for provincial/federal grants, funding programs, and health-sector innovation pilots.
Work with internal stakeholders to build compelling proposals aligned with our clinical strengths and community impact.
Monitor and respond to RFPs, funding announcements, and policy changes relevant to healthcare delivery.
Strategic Insight & Out-of-the-Box Thinking
Stay ahead of sector trends, policy shifts, and emerging needs in home care, aging, and post-acute recovery services.
Bring innovative models of care delivery and partnerships forward--think creatively, act decisively.
Launch pilot projects and outreach strategies that generate new client pathways and market reach.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2years
in business development, strategic partnerships, or healthcare expansion preferably in private home care, senior living, or health systems.
Proven ability to identify, pursue, and close deals with healthcare stakeholders and private clients.
In-depth understanding of Ontario's healthcare and community care systems, including LHINs, HSOs, and transitional care environments.
Grant writing, fundraising, or proposal development experience is a strong asset.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and networking skills--you know how to command a room and build trust quickly.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a relentlessdrive to grow, adapt, and lead.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of outcomes.
