Working within the Pricing & Product Data department and reporting to the Team Lead, Pricing, the Pricing Analyst will work alongside their peers to help maintain a centralized pricing model across our branch network. The Pricing Analyst will drive revenue and margin improvements by working to continually improve the company's pricing structure through ongoing analysis of transactions, data, and market information.
What you will do:

  • Work closely with the sales team to identify and deliver pricing opportunities that drive sales and improve margin
  • Maintain customer data including new customer updates, re-assignment of contracts and pricing information, and categorization
  • Review and correct pricing discrepancies or product issues that arise
  • Conduct analysis on sell groups for pricing matrix set-up using multiple reporting tools including Excel
  • Maintain sell matrices and contracts consistent with company's pricing philosophy
  • Provide ongoing pricing analytics/benchmarks that enable proactive management of the pricing process
  • Review price overrides and low margin sales
  • Generate pricing reports for management
About you:
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in business or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years working in a similar position
  • Solid understanding and experience in pricing, supervising others, sales, and/or operations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • 60 WPM word processing capability
  • Strong analytics skills with strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Attention to detail, detail oriented, and well organized
  • Be able/willing to travel occasionally within western Canada for branch meetings
  • Previous experience using Epicore Eclipse ERP is a definite asset
