Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook/Kitchen Help to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting in meal preparation and ensuring that all food items are prepared according to our high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Must be able to lift heavy amounts of weight. Ensure that all food items are prepared in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe cooking environment. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning equipment and utensils. Must be flexible in roles.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food handling and food safety practices. Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for cooking and the ability to follow recipes accurately. Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools.
