Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with industrial painting processes. The Powder Coater will work closely with fabrication and assembly teams to support efficient production operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, masking, and sanding as needed using hand tools and power tools Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths and airless paint sprayers, to apply consistent and durable finishes Use precision measuring instruments to ensure coatings meet specified thickness and quality standards Handle materials safely using forklift, crane, and materials handling equipment Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on coating machinery and related equipment Assist with fabrication, assembly, or auto body repair tasks as required Follow safety protocols related to industrial painting, welding, machining, and the use of hand tools

Qualifications

Prior experience in industrial painting, auto painting, or powder coating preferred Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, welding, and fabrication techniques Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments Experience operating forklift, crane, or other warehouse equipment is a plus Basic math skills for measurements and quality checks Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is advantageous Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
