Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial painting processes, materials handling, and fabrication techniques. The Powder Coater will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the production of durable and aesthetically appealing products. Experience with manufacturing, machining, and the use of hand tools is highly desirable.

Duties



Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths and airless paint sprayers Apply powder coatings uniformly using electrostatic application methods Use hand tools and power tools to assemble or modify parts prior to coating Maintain and troubleshoot coating equipment to ensure optimal performance Handle materials safely using forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring proper adhesion and finish consistency Perform basic maintenance on coating machinery and related tools Follow safety protocols related to industrial painting and materials handling Assist in fabrication or assembly tasks as required within the production process

Qualifications



Prior experience in industrial painting, auto body repair, or manufacturing preferred Knowledge of machining, welding, or fabrication processes is a plus Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments accurately Basic math skills for measurements and quality checks Experience with auto painting or airless paint spraying techniques is advantageous Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and warehouse procedures is beneficial Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, fabrication, or auto body repair is desirable Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
