Duties

Thoroughly clean and prepare metal surface before coating to remove contaminants, such as dirt, grease, and rust. Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application. Monitor and control the thickness of the powder coat to meet specifications and ensure proper coverage. Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections or by using viscometers Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash and pretreatments Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout facility Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment Maintain accurate records of coating processes, including batch numbers, material usage, and any issues encountered. Load and unload parts or product onto fixtures Good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment Other related duties as assigned.

Good time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in +30C temperatures Ability to stand for long periods of time Strong attention to detail Able to work with minimal supervision Understanding of powder coating materials, application techniques, and safety standards. Strong attention to detail to ensure a high-quality finish and adherence to specifications.
This position is integral to our production process, requiring a combination of technical skills and safety awareness to ensure high-quality output in a collaborative team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 60 per week
