Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal parts and components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or grinding as necessary. Operate powder coating equipment and machinery efficiently. Apply powder coatings evenly and consistently using appropriate techniques. Monitor the curing process to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality. Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

Skills

Proficiency in operating forklifts and cranes for material handling. Experience with machining and fabrication processes is a plus. Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating applications. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency in the workflow. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the preparation and finishing processes. Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment operations and maintenance requirements. Ability to weld is advantageous for certain projects requiring metal joining techniques.

Pay: $16.62-$20.00 per hour
