The West Vancouver Community Services Department is currently seeking a passionate Pottery Camp Leader to join our summer camp leader team. This position demonstrates, instructs and supports campers in making a variety of pottery projects. Responsibilities may include creating lesson plans and camp itineraries, scheduling activities, implementing policies and procedures, and provide mentoring to other camp leaders and volunteers.
The preferred candidate should have previous experience teaching pottery and experience working with children or running summer camps and possess the ability to be creative and fun while working with people. Must have excellent customer service, communication, organizational and program planning skills.
The Summer Camp sessions run during the daytime from July 2 - August 29, 2025 at Gleneagles Community Centre.
The successful candidate will be required to supply a police information check.
Position Status:



Non-Union - Casual



Hours of Work:



Hours and days of work vary depending upon position; up to 40 hours per week.

Mandatory training dates: June 20, 4 - 8 p.m. and June 21, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Rate of Pay:

$20.00 per hour

plus 4% in lieu of benefits. This position has a pay structure that increases based on education and experience.
