About Our Opportunity:

Summer Camp Leader

wanted for the Providing Resources & Independence for Youth Development Program (PRIYD) to lead the annual Summer Camp for children and youth with support needs in Burnaby and New Westminster.
The Summer Camp Leader will be working as part of our existing PRIYD Integration Support team to plan and carry out summer activities that promote independence for children and youth who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability.

Work Hours:

32-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:45 am-3:15 pm. The position is from June 23, 2025, to August 22, 2025, with the opportunity to continue as an hourly Integrated Support Worker.

Salary:

GS7 Step 1-3, $25.07-$26.85 per hour

Community-based, with daily start and end location in Burnaby

What do you need to succeed?

Education, Training, Experience


Minimum 2 years post-secondary education in a related field such as the Social Sciences, Education or Social Work Minimum 2 years experience with children ages 10-18 in a recreational setting One year experience with individuals with support needs or behavioural challenges

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


Enthusiasm to work with youth who have support needs and strong organizational skills. Preferred: Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record. Valid First Aid certification.
