Your Opportunity:

Are you a student that has recently completed your practicum? Are you already using Connect Care within AHS facilities or have completed Connect Care system training during your practicum training? Alberta Health Services has an exciting opportunity for students to join our team as Super Users during Launch 8 of the Connect Care program. Student Super Users will be casual positions required to provide support for up to 6 weeks in facilities across Alberta. Clinical areas include Nursing (Home Care, Long Term Care, Public Health, Ambulatory); Clerical / Patient Access (registration, referrals, and schegistrar) and Allied Health. Super Users provide \'at the elbow or virtual assistance\' to staff who are first starting to use the new electronic clinical information system, Connect Care. They are champions for system knowledge and are the on-site, first level of support to new system users. Launch support is required for 4-6 weeks during implementation on May 4, 2024. Some additional super user training will be required prior to the May 4 launch. Student Super Users will bring proven computer skills as you relay critical system expertise to a variety of end users at-the-elbow and sometimes in a virtual environment. The successful Student Super users will also be able to prioritize tasks that emphasize patient care, learn new material, adapt to, and promote changes in a fast-paced environment along with the ability to teach and support adult learners with a patient and enthusiastic approach. The successful candidates will bring dynamic written and verbal communication skills as you collaborate with a range of stakeholders. You will also rely on proven problem solving and leadership skills as you respond to questions associated with the progressive change process.

Description:

The Super User Student will be assigned to work at AHS or partner facilities in Alberta during the 8th launch of Connect Care. They will provide direct support to staff members who are new at using the Connect Care system for up to a 6-week period before and after the first day when the system is launched. They will be competent in the system in defined roles and be able to calmly guide other users through workflows within the system to deliver patient care.

Required Qualifications:

Training and experience in Connect Care. Additional Required Qualifications:

Working knowledge of AHS or partner facilities\' clinical workflows and practice. Travel to designated sites and communities across Alberta that are aligned with Connect Care Launch 8. (Designated locations will be confirmed during the selection process). Reimbursement of travel expenses will follow the AHS Travel, Hospitality and Working Session - Approval, Reimbursement and Disclosure policy. Please note there will be 50 positions available for this posting Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of Connect Care training and/or experience using the system as part of a past practicum. (Note: Applicants will be asked to indicate which service area they have this experience with).
