MLTC was created by nine First Nations located in north-west Saskatchewan who have constitutionally recognized aboriginal rights and Treaty Rights under Treaties #6, #8 and #10. The primary purpose of MLTC is to serve those First Nations in their aspirations for cultural, economic and political autonomy. As a private sector employer engaged primarily in promoting and serving the interests of the member First Nations, MLTC asserts its right to provide preferential treatment to First Nations people, giving them priority in decisions on employment matters such as hiring, and this can extend to measures such as opening competitions only to First Nations people.

MLTC is recruiting Post-Secondary students for summer employment to work in various programs and/or departments. We will be filling positions funding approval within the following areas: Child & Family Services, Environmental Health, IT, Admin, etc.

Qualifications:



MLTC First Nation Member. Post-secondary student to school in the Fall of 2025. Positive role model; show high level of maturity, self-reliant, etc. Ability to work independently/with minimum supervision, and in a team environment. Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Responsible, reliable, prompt, creative, organized. Strong computer skills. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.). Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Good understanding of First Nations culture. Ability to speak Cree and/or Dene would be an asset. A valid Class 5 Drivers License is a valuable asset.

General Information:



Salary Range - $15.00 - $22.00/hour Duration - 2 - 4 months Start Date - Tentative - May 13-August 30
