Main Purpose and Function
This position oversees the technical and administrative priorities in the delivery and implementation of a variety of by-laws aimed at ensuring liquor based businesses have met regulatory requirements.
Key Contacts and Reporting Relationships
Reporting to the Manager, Licence Office and the Deputy Chief Licence Inspector. Directly supervising two staff members - Information and Applications Specialist and Clerk III. Works closely with other internal departments, including other branches within Development, Buildings and Licensing, Engineering, Planning, Social Policy, Finance, Legal Services, Fire and VPD. This role also regularly interacts with other government agencies, including staff and director level functions at the Provincial government level. The Coordinator is required to work directly with industry representatives, community interest groups and the public on a number of projects involving liquor based businesses applications, amendments and community complaints under sometimes demanding timeframes and conditions.
