Overview

Bohringer is seeking a programmer in

Alberta to maintain and update exiting software for Batch Plants and Rock Crushers. Experience with Siemens PLC's is preferable.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, and maintaining our proprietary Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for Concrete Batch Plants and Rock Crushers to ensure optimal performance of our automated systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, industrial maintenance, and mechanical knowledge. The PLC Programmer will work closely with engineering and will be responsible for updating, maintenance and troubleshooting issues as well as implementing new solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

Some of these core duties include:

Collaborating with a client or employer to update a PLC program to meet company needs Drawing schematic diagrams to represent components of the system Using coding languages such as Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram Running extensive tests to ensure a program's success pre-installation Installing programs into industrial machines Monitoring a system to assess its efficiency and reliability Identifying issues and troubleshooting errors to find solutions Continuously developing new ways to improve a system

Skills

Proficient in programming PLCs and understanding logic controllers. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to detect issues in automated systems. Experience with AutoCAD for creating or modifying schematics. Familiarity with industrial maintenance practices and procedures. Knowledge of CNC operations and programming is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
