Plate Maker

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production

Create plates and rotary screens for all presses Manage workload according to production schedule

Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning

Ensure all equipment is maintained in clean and good working order Wash and file used plates daily

Inventory Management

Maintain levels and budget of screen and plate inventory Maintain an organized file system for all film, plates and proofs Track new, reused and remake plates via Excel

Supplier Relations

Act as the primary contact for equipment and consumable suppliers

Policy Adherence

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) Maintain 5S standards and prioritize safe practices

Operational Support

Support the prepress area or when required Press Queue- PWO compilation as required Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills and Requirements:

Strong attention to details Must possess good organizational skills Team Player Safety Conscious Experience working with computers High energy, self-starter able to work with minimal supervision Continuous improvement mindset Must be flexible and able to work overtime as required

Preference to those with Computer-to-Plate (Litho and Flexo) knowledge and experience

Preference will be given to those with Computer skills
