This role is responsible for leading Production Planning (including Tests with a third party), Supply Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Management and Resource Management. The position is responsible for driving planning initiatives to improve customer on time delivery and lead-time, to be accountable for inventory management, procurement / purchasing, and production plan adherence and reporting. Your responsibilities

  • Scheduling: Owner of the site planning process: Demand Planning, Sales & Operation Planning, Master Planning, Detailed Scheduling, and Materials Planning. Provides visibility of supply capacity and materials availability to the local and Hub S&OP process. Own the local S&OP process, make sure that all participants contribute and ensure process adherence.
  • Coordination: Connects planning with execution (Production and testing) by making sure on time material availability on the shop floor and to the testing lab. Coordinate an appropriate response to unplanned events. Support the profitable execution of customer and purchase orders, in coordination with project management, engineering, quality, manufacturing and strategic procurement.
  • Inventory: Owns the inventory forecast for the local unit. Establishes and maintains inventory processes including raw materials, WIP, finished goods and contract assets (project units) in line with HUB / Business Line instructions. Is accountable for inventory within the site, and drive inventory optimization projects within the site.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leads / contributes to cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead-time, inventory, material availability, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy. Uses lean 6 sigma tools whenever applicable. Collaborate with other units (FES, internal and external suppliers) in the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value-added costs and delight internal & external customers by delivering products on time. Ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and rules. Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.
  • Provides local leadership for the development of best practices in planning systems and integrated ERPs.
  • Leads local planning, operational purchasing, order handling, and inventory management.
  • Ensures (with HR support) that local teams are properly organized, staffed, skilled and developed.
  • Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR and company policies.
Your background
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in supply chain management, operations management, engineering, business, or related field and 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in Canada
  • Professional certification (CSCP, CPSM, CPM, CPIM, or other purchasing, supply chain related certifications) are a plus
  • Experience with MS-Office tools including MS-Project
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience with SAP is an important asset
  • Bilingual (English & French)
